PARENT ROLES IN THE TROOP
The role of parents within Troop 1 is to be supportive of the Troop's efforts and to provide the atmosphere Scouts need to learn and excel. All scout parents should:
1. Read your Scout's handbook and understand the purpose and methods of Scouting.
2. Actively follow your Scout's progress (or lack thereof) and offer gentle encouragement and a push when needed.
3. Show support to both the individual Scout and the Troop by attending all Troop Courts of Honor.
4. Assist, as requested, in all Troop activities. Be available at least once during the year to drive to a camping trip. Be involved.
5. Be aware of the Troop program and annual calendar. RSVP to all events as requested so we have accurate head count for our planning.
